Our trajectory

The beginning

Decade of 70
By 1978, more automatic presses continue to be installed. Exports to Puerto Rico and Haiti begin. And the Cooperativa de Servicios Múltiples for employees is formed. The dining room is built for employees and the Social Club with basketball court and softball stadium. The Computer Center is created.

80's years.
1988: changes to electric welding technology. The positions of executives Arturo Grullon and Felix Garcia are determined. Most of the shares of American Can are acquired, passing Envases Antillanos to be
property of Dominican Investors.

We continue to grow: The 90s

2000: The new Millennium.

The new age.
With the celebration of the 50 Years, Envases Antillanos becomes part of a new horizon, officially adopting the name of ENVAN.

LEARN MORE
It started its operations in 1968, at a time when agroindustry and packaging in general depended totally on imports. Its installation allowed the substitution of container imports, but more than that, being a pioneer in the field, it was one of the points of support for the country’s agro-industrial development.
The main commitment of Envases Antillanos is to offer our customers a high quality product accompanied by an efficient technical service, which allows us the experience of having been affiliated for more than 25 years to the American Can Co. and being a current member of the International Packaging Association (http://www.ipacan.com/). One of the services most valued by our customers is the technical assistance that includes updating and management seminars, equipment audits, support in the mechanical area through our repair and manufacturing workshops, as well as advice on the different canning processes.
Envases Antillanos has an integrated production system that includes its own cutting line, which allows us to adapt tinplate to different uses and works with the most updated Soudronic technology.
Tinplate comes from the best mills in the world and enamels, inks and varnishes are approved by F.D.A and U.S.D.A. from United States.
This company is the first and largest metal packaging factory in the Caribbean area, with capacity to produce more than 300 million cans and two Litell cutting lines that can cut more than 30,000 tons of tin a year. Installed in an area of almost 20,000 square meters and a staff of more than 300 people of different academic levels.
Since 2008 it has been certified ISO 9001, which accredits it as a company that meets the established standards to obtain a high quality product. In that same order, it has a Code of Ethical Conduct, which ensures observance of ethics and responsibility in its operations, considering human rights, as well as the safety and health of human capital as paramount.
Concerned about the environment and the health of the environment, the company gives great importance to the use of clean energy and therefore 50% of the energy it consumes is generated by a photo-voltaic plant with 1,500 Kwp capacity.
Envases Antillanos is part of the Linda Group, an economic consortium made up of several industrial and service companies, where a strong participation in the agro-industrial area and food production stands out.
